Listing moderation policy

What this site is

isthereanytool.app is a directory for discovering software tools, AI tools, and digital products. We keep a useful, safe, and trustworthy catalog. The public listings are editorial. A tool goes live only after human review, not because someone submitted a form or paid a fee.

Paid rail and category slots are labeled sponsor placements. They are advertisements for a product website. They are not catalog listings and they do not buy editorial placement. The only checkout on this site is a one-time fee for one month of that placement. We do not sell the third-party tools listed in the directory.

How listings are reviewed

Most tools are researched and written by the operator, then stored in the catalog. A listing needs a real product name, a working public website, a short description, and a category.

Anyone can request an add, a change, or a new category. Those requests sit in a private review queue. Nothing from a request goes live until it is approved. All submitted listings may be reviewed before or after publication. Duplicate, empty, or low-quality requests are declined.

What we reject or remove

We may reject, remove, edit, or restrict listings and sponsor placements that:

• Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading content
• Scams, phishing, malware, malicious downloads, or harmful links
• Copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property infringement, including piracy and unlicensed resale
• Adult, sexually explicit, NSFW, or otherwise inappropriate content, including AI-generated sexual content
• Weapons, violence, explosives, or dangerous activities
• Hacking, credential theft, keyloggers, stalkerware, unauthorized access, or bypassing authentication, captchas, rate limits, or platform terms
• Spam, scraping, mass outreach, cloaking, proxy, or anti-terms tools
• Fake reviews, fake engagement, traffic manipulation, or cheating tools
• False, unverifiable, or exaggerated product claims
• Duplicate submissions, spam listings, or misleading advertisements
• Incomplete or misleading submitter information
• Anything that violates applicable law

Sponsor placements

A sponsor pays a one-time fee for one month on a rail or category slot. Checkout is handled by Dodo Payments. A slot goes live only after a verified payment and expires after 30 days.

We still review the product name and website. Paying does not override this policy. A placement that violates these rules is taken down.

After publication

We may also remove listings when a product becomes unavailable, changes substantially, receives a credible abuse report, or no longer meets our quality and safety requirements. Expired sponsor slots drop off automatically.

We review reports and act based on severity. That can mean asking for more information, editing a listing, restricting it, or removing it permanently.

Reports

If you see an inaccurate, abusive, malicious, or policy-violating listing or placement, email hello@isthereanytool.app with the URL and why. We review reports and take the listing down when the violation is confirmed.
